Framed sculpture of a paint brush with the handle formed out of horsehair.
This piece – a double ended paintbrush – is a strange surrealist comment. A visual pun that seems to not quite translate into words. It is the double endedness: the artist as canvas? Painting himself into existence? The artist is currently considering doing a shadow painting of himself painting a shadow painting of himself (back to Plato’s ‘Cave’ allegory). Technically and philosophically he is not sure whether it will work. But he has to make it to find out!
